The Northern Pacific Beanery, formerly Martin's Cafe in Livingston, Montana, is owned and operated by Jessica and Spencer Barnett. It is part of the Livingston historic depot center built in 1902 by the Northern Pacific Railroad to service passengers traveling to Yellowstone National Park. In an effort to return this Livingston landmark to its roots as a family restaurant and cafe we have tried to stick with what works. And that is simple, hearty, family food made from scratch-not removed from a box and defrosted. We specialize in chicken fried steaks, homemade waffles and pancakes, meatloaf, corned beef hash, fresh sandwiches, and baked goods that will make you remember your childhood

In an effort to support the local economy we also feature several products from producers such as the Almaltheia Dairy and the Indreland Ranch in Big Timber, MT. The backs of our menus are used to feature local non-profits that are active in the Livingston area

We serve breakfast during the week until 11:00am and lunch until 2:00pm. On the weekends we serve breakfast all day long until 2:00pm with a selection of lunch specials starting at 11:00am.

If you would like us to bake you something special let us know and we will make it happen! (Please no wedding cakes or custom decorating, just home style baked goods.)

Selected baked goods: Lemon Almond Biscotti, Cinnamon Rolls, Sticky Buns, Carrot Cake, Lemon Merange Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pear Tarts, Cheesecake, and more...

The Beanery is also available as a banquet hall in the evenings. We can comfortably seat approximately seventy-five persons, but have the capacity for eighty-five persons. In the past we have hosted birthday parties, graduation events, wedding rehearsal dinners, non-profit fund raisers, and more.
