The Northern Pacific Beanery is a full service eatery located in historic downtown Livingston, Montana. We are part of the old Northern Pacific Railroad Depot complex located on Park Street adjacent to Main Street. The Depot was completed in 1902 for the Northern Pacific Railroad. It was designed by Reed and Stem of St. Paul, MN- the original architects of Grand Central Station in New York City. Livingston at that time was a key stop for the Northern Pacific because its midway location between Seattle, WA and St. Paul, MN provided critical repair facilities for the railroad as well as being the first gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Some of you may remember our location as the old Martin's Cafe, but things have changed in the last five years. During that time the restaurant went through an extensive remodel, became nonsmoking, and changed ownership. We still have some of the old favorites like freshly made chicken fried steaks, homemade corned beef hash (it's a local secret and not on our menu, but ask and we probably have it), amazing soups made fresh everyday, and homemade pastries that will, as my wife says, "make you go yum." The Beanery prides itself on being an active member of the Livingston community. We currently support several nonprofit organizations like the Western Sustainability Exchange , Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and we make the back pages of all our menus available to other nonprofit organizations to advertise special events and fundraisers. While we are open seven days a week, we do provide both on and off site catering services for most of Park County and some of Sweetgrass County (Big Timber). Take a look at our catering section. There you will find a sampling of some of the options available to you. We take pride in our ability to organize and execute your events so that you can focus on your special occasion and enjoy yourself. We have experience catering events from as small as ten to as large as three hundred persons. Some of our past and current clients are Montana Rail Link, CTA Nelson Engineering, The Corporation for the Northern Rockies, Montana Job Service, and many more. So large or small we can create an event you will love. |
